Sorry, we could not paraphrase this essay. Poe utilizes very vivid imagery in his story to paint a picture in the readers head. He emphasizes blood so you can visualize in your mind what they all see every day everyone dyeing the worst way possible. This creates a dark tone by the reader visualizing how these people are suffering dying the way they are. When Poe describes to the reader about the seven rooms he speaks about each color and the glass windows that match the room. He wants one to catch sight of how frightening the view of this room is and how no one set foot inside. He makes the reader feel the suspense of the story as if they are really there.
This makes one feel the intensity of the clocks strikes how Death is an hour closer each strike. Poe wants the reader to catch the concept of every word he says and why he says it. He also wants one to really feel the hair-rising sensations of the suspense throughout his story. Victims of the plague are burdened with death- which was their fate since the outbreak of the plague. This introduction alerts the reader and sets the problem against the Red Death. Till Death Do Us Part Masquerades are supposed to be fun, until a disease kills everyone. The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe is a dark and mysterious story. With the black plague going around, Prince Prospero tries to stay alive so he throws a party and invites his friends to join in.
He locks everyone in his castle in hopes that death will not get to him and his friends. Unfortunately him along with all of his friends die. Poe was an American writer who wrote short stories about mysteries and horror. Lastly, the use of symbolism Poe used is the abbey that Prince Prospero and his nobility hid in. The last example of symbolism is that the abbey symbolized that you can't escape death. The abbey showed that no matter how much you bolt a door you can't lock out the red death. The abbey lastly symbolizes that no matter how rich you are, hiding in an abbey can't save you. The abbey was like a grave that all the nobility locked themselves in because once it hit the Prince, everyone else died after him.
The ebony clock served as a timer, ticking down until the last of the party goers were dead. But in this chamber only, the color of the windows failed to correspond with the decorations. The panes here were scarlet --a deep blood color.
